Watney leads the revolution of the modest

Posted by Aaeron Ehast

WatneyThe opening supplied by Tiger from his confessed infidelity and its faults in the ‘swing’, more erratic Phil Mickelson, first and second players in the world, laid bare a reality: gender equality is so marked among the rest of the elite more than half a hundred players compete for the titles separated by subtle differences.

The current course is well. With Tiger out of action, in this U.S. PGA by today after eleven holes to achieve a ‘birdie’, unable to get the pair in the third round, catching only five of fourteen streets, the list of candidates is enlarged and displayed forward names to memorize.

For example, South African Louis Oosthuizen won the recent slack unusual and opened his British Open record in ‘Grand Slam’, the Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell won the U.S. Open final, which also opened and ended their record 40-year European drought. Only a new success of Mickelson in the Masters in April, put some sanity to this parade of golfers of unquestionable quality of the outposts in the best tournaments.

Watney, 29 and two PGA Tour titles, made a brutal sprint to their chances of winning at Whistling Straits Course. Carded eight birdies and made two bogeys (the last on the 18th hole), sign up for 66 hits and score 13 under par. Watney is paradoxical that, in the only two U.S. PGA had previously played in 2008 and 2009, not cross the cut in any of them. But this sport is thus different from the rest.

The leader leads in three blows to the duo shared the second place, formed by the young Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy 21 and American Dustin Johnson, both now with 67 strokes (-5). McIlroy, a golfer about to hatch, is poised to rise early with a ‘major’ and Johnson, 26 and 29 consecutive holes without bogeys, has only three seasons.

The third day featured more unexpected pearls: Liang Wen-Chong broke the record of the Whistling Straits with a card of 64 strokes (-8). Chinese, 32, improved in a coup the previous best record in tandem possessed the Northern Irishman Darren Clarke and Miguel Angel Jimenez in the PGA Championship in 2004. Never a Chinese has won a ‘major’. And thus came Liang, suddenly, to the fourth place, four shots off the lead and shares with other golfers as interesting as the German Martin Kaymer or American Jason Day.

To see the winners of tournaments ‘Grand Slam’ must drop to seventh place. Americans Jim Furyk (U.S. Open 2003) and Zach Johnson (Masters 2007) contention from that place and five strokes for his second ‘Great’.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, the only Spanish after the eliminations of Sergio Garcia, Jimenez and Alvaro Quiros, did 73 hits and fell to No. 53
