Prepare your body
Many believe that to play golf you only need to buy the club and have a good “swing”. But the issue is not that simple, because you also need to have a good physical condition, strength and flexibility to hit hard and go all the field. If you’re not well prepared physically, you may tire quickly or even badly hurt with a given movement.
Before reaching the tee output (starting point), consider the following:

Heats . As with any sport, you need to warm up your muscles before you start. Every time you swing to hit a ball, you’re moving the muscles of your hands, wrists, arms, back, shoulders, waist, abdomen and legs … almost all your body! Start with a bit of cardio (walking or jogging) and then do stretches to keep your muscles hurt and you have more flexibility in your swing.

Exercise. Exercise regularly to keep your body in good condition and stamina to go 18 holes without breaking down. Aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, skating or bicycling, are ideal.

Strengthen your muscles. Have you seen the golfer’s arms? The stronger your muscles are, the faster and stronger you can be your coup. In addition, the less likely you are to hurt them. Do strengthening exercises continuously, even in seasons that do not play, to keep your muscles strong and prepared throughout the year. Read the rest of this entry »

Posted by Aaeron Ehast

The Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient, that little booklet that looks like a cumbersome program of instructions for the most sophisticated electronic devices that run the house, closer to the fan base in its 2008 edition.
New rules, new decisions and all explained in a simple way is new ahead for next year. Paul Chavez, Chairman of the Rules of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation appreciates the changes.

Will a change in rules R & A will be for all the world?
Yes The USGA, the body that controls the United States and Mexico, and the Royal and Ancient, which controls the world, agree every four years to update or modify the Rules of Golf, and every two years for the Book Decisions. This year has hit double work. When will enter into force? Our intention is to take effect from 1 January. We have one last meeting at the Club Las Pinaillas, Albacete, and we will not leave there until we finish all the work. In simple terms, what have been fundamental changes? The main basis of the rules has changed in two respects: first, the better application of existing rules, and secondly, to adjust the penalties.

Two substantial variations that affect almost all the rules. It has also been tried in a language easy and affordable to all. And the big news of the rulebook this year is that within it, in the first pages, there is a compendium of the most basic rules and a fast and effective consultation. What rules change and we can affect the players amateurs? I am going to list it easy for everyone to understand. – Identify the ball: the ball must be identified in a hazard. From now you can make, play, lifting the ball and identify it and put it back into place (you could not before). This concept affects primarily Rule 15. – Rule 19. A ball moving, stopped or deflected by the caddy or any of your computer (typically the case that the obstacle to take a ball hits you yourself, or misplaced bag or caddy, etc.), used to have a two-stroke penalty is now reduced to one. – punches not accumulate (eg Rule 20). You do not earn penalties for playing a ball that should not be. Read the rest of this entry »

How are the golf clubs and to serve?

Posted by Ann Brown

golf clubs setBefore you start hitting golf balls, we must understand the working demo made by each club.

The regulation allows us to relocate in our bag to a maximum of 14 clubs, but a player who is starting not need so many.
The driver is the club (especially a wood) longer and powerful, and lgica, the most dicult to use, so it is not advisable to use it until you have mastered your tcnico well. Many players have two more wood in his bag, (the 3 and 5), being easier to use for long shots.

The woods are used to achieve distance with the ball. Its primary use is to leave the tees (the outputs of each hole of the field). Though his name continues to be maintained as lumber, now gives no longer manufactured with this material. If it remains like the shape of the ancient timbers. The irons are available from 1 to 9, and various wedges, but more often it is included in the bag from the 3-iron through 9, pitching wedge and sand wedge.

At first, the irons 1, 2, 3 and 4 will have the most dicult to use. The 5 iron is considered an a long iron, which can enable us to do shots of 150 meters. Irons, 6, 7 and 8 irons are considered media and allow us to distances of about 140, 130 and 120 meters respectively. Finally, allow us to make 9-iron shots about 110 meters.

You’ll notice that one club to another there is a difference of 10 meters. There will be players of a nature to spank the ball longer and others shorter do. It is that each go to the practice field and see which is the distance achieved with each suit, for as, when est on the golf course, know qu stick choose at any given time. It’s fine if you hit with 7-iron is 110 meters. What is important is to always be 110 meters. If so, with the 5 iron will do 130 meters, with 6 will make 120, with 8 will make 100 and with 9 you will do 90 meters. Thus, knowing you will continue to abide qu on the golf course.

Tips for advanced players Golf

Posted by Ann Brown

Tips for advanced players GolfSlo badly need a hole to ruin a great lap, so, we explain some tips to help avoid these bad moves.

Bunker .- The bunker is taken from nico bruised right hand that takes the initiative on the left. Given our level it’s time to start adjusting our bunker tee shot to the flag.

To do this we must not forget the basic principles drawn from the bunker and it needs to apply “touch” to our beat. The key is to not hold the stick firmly with his left hand. De sta forma podemos usar más la mano derecha. As the stick will move faster and reach more open face. You get the ball to drop softly and roll less.

Controlling the distance .- The key to getting the correct distance is in the finish. Do not try to control the distance through force. We leave it to the finish that controls the distance. For putts we make a short finish for long shots and we make a complete finish.

Aproach .- Once it reaches a certain level, how to improve the card is controlling the short game.
-The shots are the key part.
-Slo is necessary to develop half swing, the hands are below the waist and a three-quarter swing the hands are just above the waist. To do less of that is really doing a chip and do more is the same as making a full swing.

Long irons .- One of the keys to gain confidence with the long irons is the speed of the clubhead.
The long irons are not right for everyone. Players who print speed with low clubhead will very dicult its utilization. If this is your case, do not hesitate, fairway woods (7, 9.11) will give better service.

The wood chip 3 .- Surely once the ball, a shot to the green, has rested on the limit of to-green and semi-rough street or in that escaln that form the different cuts of the grass. In this case, to make the putt or a chip with any iron is quite incmodo and imprecise, because the grass escaln prevents us from moving the stick and hit the ball naturally gentler.

Therefore, in these cases, you can use a different stick, such as timber 3 5. Although a priori we are not accustomed to using them for this purpose, you have probably seen that many professionals do, including Tiger Woods mismsimo.
You’ll be amazed at how easy it is this coup and the benefits as you practice one day. The technik is very simple.
