The Complete History of Golf

Golf, as we know it today, was born somewhere on the east coast of Scotland early in the fifteenth century. Some historians argue that golf originated in the Netherlands (the Dutch word kolf means “stick”), but the Romans had a game that used a curved stick and a ball made of feathers, which may have been the original source game.

Boom that reached both the King James II was forced to enact an Act in 1457 that put limits on their practice to prevent people from playing during that time should be spent practicing archery (the first written document in which refers to golf). However, the law was not very successful.

The Scots, however, ignored this and other similar laws and early sixteenth century, King James IV of Scotland, said the game of golf.

His granddaughter Mary, later Mary I Stuart, took the game to France, where he was educated. His assistants on the golf course were known as the Cadets ( ’students’), the term was adopted later in Scotland and England and became a caddy and caddy.

Rules of Golf

The rules of golf can be quite extensive and this meets certain guidelines and rules that most regulations on sports does not have. One rule that has the golf that most sports do not have are the definitions that are badly needed to know them to be on the field.

Any of these words used are:

- Referee: addresses to accompany players to abide by the rules and take care to correct their mistakes, also they can not interfere in the game.

- Bando: players who are partners may be up for a duet.

- Ball holed: the ball is holed when it is inside the hole.

- Caddy: the person carrying the bag of the player, it can be used by several players or serve only one.

- Committee: the group of persons involved in the competition.

- Foracaddie: is a person who is assigned by the committee to indicate the position of the balls to players.

- Green: This is the ground of the hole being played.

- Honor is the side that has the right to play first.

- Putt Line: This is the line where the player takes the ball after the green.

- Observer: a person appointed by the committee, this post is to assist the referee in the correction of rules.

- Tour: this is all except the green field, obstacles and place of departure.

These words should be used properly within the field of play but it will be breaking the rules.
